Jim Shone, Borregaard Area Business Manager for the Americas, has been appointed to the board of the Humic Products Trade Association. Borregaard operates one of the world’s most advanced and sustainable biorefineries. The company’s ties to the HPTA include a long record of quality production and process capability to manufacture leonardite-based proprietary formulations of humic acid. Shone has been an active HPTA member since he joined Borregaard in 2011 and has 40 years of sales and marketing experience in the ag industry.
Shone replaces Lyndon Smith, CEO of Huma, Inc. and former vice president of the HPTA board. Smith will remain an active member of the HPTA.
HPTA board member David Chinn recently joined the staff of Huma as Vice President of Corporate Compliance. In this new role, he will work to advance Huma products and regenerative agriculture as a whole. Chinn will remain on the board in his current role as secretary/treasurer.
